The Maring of the Simbai Valley 1963 - 1964

Allison JABLONKO

Here follow visual highlights of the Jablonkos' fieldwork among the people of the Fungai-Korama clan-cluster. Allison and Marek Jablonko lived in Gunts, a Fungai hamlet, which was also the base for Cherry Lowman Vayda and A. Peter Vayda. There were occasional trips to Dikai, where Roy and Anne Rappaport were doing fieldwork among the Tsembaga people during the year of their ritual "kaiko".
